# Decision log

Decisions reached while building this product, and why. Read this before changing
anything it covers. The "Tried and removed" column matters most: it stops ideas the
team already rejected from coming back.

For coding agents: treat each decision as a rule. If a request conflicts with one,
say so and ask before building. If something isn't covered here, ask; don't guess.

## <Area of the product>

| Decision | Why | Tried and removed | Decided by | Date |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| What we do now, in one line | The reason, in one line | What we built or proposed and dropped | Name or role | YYYY-MM-DD |
| | | | | |

## <Another area>

| Decision | Why | Tried and removed | Decided by | Date |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| | | | | |

## Rules that apply everywhere

- Short, testable rules that don't belong to one area (copy, accessibility, naming).

## Open questions

Things nobody has decided yet. Write them as questions, not answers, so nobody
builds a guess.
