TaskRay

Full website redesign & development

TaskRay, a leading enterprise work management platform designed for Salesforce, aimed to revamp its website from the ground up. The main goal was to improve user experience (UX), align the site with a refreshed brand design, and address technical challenges that had arisen over seven years of website evolution.

Before

The challenge

TaskRay’s original WordPress site was outdated and burdened by years of ad hoc updates from various freelancers and internal teams. Over time, excessive plugins and hardcoded elements had accumulated, leading to several key issues:
Technical limitations
The site was clunky, slow, and not responsive, especially on mobile devices. Admin users struggled to make content updates efficiently.
UX problems
The Divi theme-based design was inflexible, with hardcoded elements making navigation and layout changes difficult. The site also suffered from poor navigation flow and outdated illustrations.
Business challenges
With falling traffic and low conversions for their primary funnel—“Book a Demo”—the site failed to meet TaskRay’s business objectives.
Process

The approach

First, we analyzed TaskRay’s visitor analytics, traffic pathways, and site metrics, including demo bookings, engagement, and bounce rates. We began to understand the issues and documented opportunities by consolidating stakeholder feedback and pain points.
Strategy and planning goals
Create a responsive, high-performing site with streamlined content management, codify Salesforce workflows, and a modern design that elevates TaskRay’s brand and user experience across all devices.
Design and development
Implemented custom post types for streamlined content, utilized Breakdance Builder for efficient development, optimized performance for speed and responsiveness, and migrated 230+ pages with various redirects and preserved SEO integrity.
Collaboration and feedback
TaskRay remained integral to the project, providing input via Figma, Google Sheets, and strideUX’s client Slack channel. Iterations during the design phase allowed us to build a solid foundation before development began.
After

The results

"We recently managed a full website overhaul and strideUX was amazing through this journey. They helped guide our new sitemap, advised us on our plugin strategy, and executed the project in record time, all within a very reasonable budget. Their ability to execute with speed and precision makes them feel like a true extension of our team."
